Meeting called to order at 7:18 P.M.
- A moment of silence in memory of Gary Nordan who passed away on December 11.
SECRETARY’S REPORT
- Reading of the Minutes waived.
- Rich Marcus asked that the minutes be published on the association’s web sight. Pat
agreed to work with Tadd (added by Tadd) on having it done.
TREASURER’S REPORT
- Asked that members call the assignors with any discrepancies.
- Game fees for fall season approximately $333,000.
- Bank loan to cover pay checks is being reviewed.
- Finance charge is being assessed to late payments.
- $155,000 in bank, $160,000 in accounts receivable.
- All in attendance will be paid, all others will be mailed.
- Over $580,000 in game fees for 1997.
CORRESPONDENCE
EXECUTIVE BOARD REPORT
- Contracts - only lost St. Mary’s and Charles Counties; all others came back for 1
year with increased fees. Questions raised - who did we lose them? Will we pursue them?
Because their fee was not increased for the past 4 years, they could not afford our new
fees which reflected the changes others have seen over that period. With the addition of
Montgomery County girls in the fall, a decision will have to made on who to offer
contracts to. We also dropped ISL girls.
